Founded in Kyoto in 1929.

We believe that a bicycle can be a metaphor for a meaningful part of everyday life, something that can propel people through their day and makes each moment a little more special. Drawing upon the sensibilities and craftsmanship we have cultivated in Kyoto, we see our incense in a similar way; as an instrument to complement everyone's way of life.

In this exhibition, we invite you to discover the stories and ideas that define our artistry through frames, glimpses of the production process, videos, and collaborative works of traditional craftspeople. We hope that you will enjoy experiencing the allure of Kyoto's time-honored craftsmanship and toolmaking, along with a rare glimpse into a process that is usually seen only within our workshop.
